The BMW specification for the rear crankshaft bearing and the bearing holder is an interference fit of 0.03 to 0.05 mm.

It is recommended to check the inner diameter of the bearing holder: it should be 71,950 - 71,965 mm, measured after installation of the bearing holder in the engine housing.

If the diameter is smaller (a new bearing holder), it is strongly recommended to ream the bearing holder to this diameter while installed in the engine housing.

If the diameter is larger, it's recommended to install a new bearing holder.
