Shipping & Returns

 

Shipping

Orders will ship within maximum 5 business days. Should a part have a longer delivery time, we will inform you by mail or telephone.

If a part cannot be delivered within 15 business days, you will be given the option to cancel the order and get a refund.

  


Shipping rates

Shipping costs will be automatically calculated and added to your order.

The shipping costs will be shown when you check out. but áfter you have selected the destination country.

Flat and lightweight parts, such as gaskets, can be send in a letterbox package at more economical rates.

Update Jan 2020: due to changes in international regulations, we must make a strict distinction between goods and letters.

It is therefore no longer possible to send parts in a letterbox package with stamps. Parts can only be sent in a letterbox package by registered mail.


Fast delivery

For those countries where UPS is not our standard shipping method:

for fast deliveries, you have the option to have your order shipped with UPS.

The UPS shipping costs can only be calculated when the total gross weight and dimensions of the parcel is known.

If you prefer this option, please select the shipping condition "pick up at warehouse at € 0,00" and inform us by mail that you want a UPS shipment.

When the parcel is ready for despatch, we will inform you the shipping costs.


The DHL/UPS/Fedex dilemma

Courier companies, such as UPS, DHL and Fedex, determine the price for sending packages based on the package weight or the package volume (volumetric weight).

The highest number is used to calculate the shipping costs.

To determine the volumetric weight, the dimensions (in cm) are multiplied and divided by 5000.


For example:

1) package weight: 10 kgs

    package dimensions:  40 x 40 x 20 cm

    Volumetric weight: (40 x 40 x 20) / 5000 = 6.4 kgs

    In this case, the actual package weight of 10 kgs determines the shipping costs

 

2) package weight: 10 kgs

     package dimensions:  60 x 60 x 20 cm

     Volumetric weight: (60 x 060 x 20) / 5000 = 14.4 kgs

     In this case, the actual package weight of 14.4 kgs determines the shipping costs

 

The weight is known for every article in our webshop; 
when an order is placed, the package weight is the sum of the weight of all ordered parts.
When the volumetric weight of the package does not exceed the package weight in kgs, the shipping costs calculated in the web shop, are accurate.

However, when larger parts are ordered, such as handlebars, exhaust pipes, mufflers, rims etc, the part weight is lower than the volumetric weight.
In those cases, the shipping costs calculated by the system are too low.

Instead of the weight in kgs, we could decide to add the volumetric weight of those parts in the web shop.
However, the sum of the volumetric weights is in most cases higher than the actual package volumetric weight.
This would result in too high shipping costs calculated by the system.

It is therefor impossible for us to be 100% correct with the automatically calculated UPS shipping cost.
If the actual UPS shipping cost is higher or lower, we will notify you / refund the overpaid shipping cost.
You will be given the choice to cancel the order if you do not want to pay for the extra shiping costs.


Returns

Parts may be returned to us within 20 days from shipment:

if you are not satisfied with your purchase, we will accept a return for a full refund of the nett purchase price, excl. shipping costs.

Only parts that are in the same original condition and have not been used may be returned.

All items must be returned to us in the original packaging and properly packaged for (inter)national shipment.

Before returning an item, please write to us mentioning our invoice number.

 

We thoroughly inspect all parts before shipment.

Should, despite our good care, a part be defective, then we will take back the respective part and reimburse you for the full purchase price and shipping costs.

Before returning any defective item, please write to us with a description of the defect, our invoice number and preferably a photo that shows the defect.

Important note for customers outside Europe in case of shipments with POSTNL (delivered by national postal companies):

when a package or the contents of a package are damaged due to rough handling during transport, you are urgently asked to take the package to the nearest post office for a damage report.

The local post office can tell you that it is not the recipient (you) that has to file a claim, but that the sender (we) has to file a claim with PostNL.

That is correct, but the local post office will have to issue a written confirmation addressed to PostNL confirming that the package/goods are damaged.

This report is necessary for us to submit a complaint to POSTNL.

Without this report, POSTNL will not start a claim procedure and there is no chance of a refund by PostNL

For the claim procedure, we will also need:

- photos of the package, showing the damages

- a photo of the package, showing the CN23 form

- photos of the damaged parts
