Manufacturer's instruction:

Due to horizontal storage of these hydraulic shock absorber elements, it is possible that air pockets have formed inside. It is therefore necessary to place the inserts in a vertical position and prime them by pumping the piston shaft until an even resistance is obtained in both directions without any noticeable air pockets.

Durch waagrechte Lagerung des Stossdämpfers kann es innerhalb des Stossdämpfers zur Bildung eines Luftpolsters kommen. Deshalb vor Einbau senkrecht stellen und die Kolbenstange mehrmals hin und weder bewegen, bis sich das System entlüftet hat und kein fühlbarer Leerweg feststellbar ist.
