Installation procedure:

- Disconnect the battery. Disconnect electrical and mechanical connections from the old regulator.

- The alternator has 4 connections: two for the field and two for an additional resistor coil. The resistance coil is connected on one side with one of the fastening screws of the original regulator and connected to ground on the other side with terminal DF. Loosen and isolate this resistor coil from the ground (must not be electrically connected to the housing, otherwise a function is excluded and damage may occur) In older alternators, the regulator resistor is not mounted on the field winding but separately next to the regulator. In this case remove the resistor.

- Mount the new regulator

- Connect the yellow cable of the regulator to the connecting bracket, which faces away from the regulator (previously, a cable went from here to the original controller which had a fixed connection)

- Connect the brown cable of the regulator to ground (for example, with the fastening screw of the regulator)

- Connect the red cable of the regulator to the terminal 30/51 of the cap (this is the connection of the positive pole of the battery)

- Connect the blue cable of the regulator to the connection of the plus pole

- Reconnect the battery

Attention: Only connect the battery correctly polarized, always operate alternator with connected battery (damage of regulator possible)
